I assume that if it happened with the Sony A350 (SSS damaged in someway) then it could happen elsewhere too.Īnyone else had this problem with other models? as neither of you have an avatar or a photo in your stream it would be nice to see an example of what your talking about. Piecacake and dominSony24 can either of you please post and example of this. If anyone knows of this happening alot, then please please let me know, as I think sony should sort it for free. I paid just £600 for this camera and now it is useless, why should i have to pay again to fix a problem that should've been done went i sent it back to them the first time. I have searched and searched too for help or answers and now the warranty is out and I dont know what to do? It seems fixed if I dont use it for about 2 months and then turn it on, then I get a very short while of it taking normal centered shots, then it goes back to taking off center shots. It wasnt when they returned it, but with days it was back to the same thing, off centered shots.

I sent it back to Sony when it was under warranty and they sent it back to me telling me there was no problem with it. I have been getting this exact same problem for the last year.

Mine is fine, at the center for both kit lens, you should show to service center. If it would have been a Canon or Nikon, it'd take like a 4 weeks.".

If something's wrong with a Sony DSLR, they'll fix it within 14 days. I remember my dealer saying: "You're lucky it's a Sony. About twelve days later my camera was fixed. They picked up my camera the very same day at my dealer's through a courier (think it was UPS, may have been DHL or TNT though). Just get it back to your dealer, explain the problem, show him the problem and Sony should take it from there. Got it to my local dealer, mine had a deviation to the left. I had it on my A350, just like Chris.I dropped it. I'm told that is usually because the sensor and SSS holder has been broken, which is cheap to replace, or else the SSS itself has been broken, which is expensive to replace. Mine started to do that after I dropped it. My a350 does not suffer from this problem. The viewfinder in the A-350 and many others, will never be 100% what you see (safest always to leave extra room around the outside edges to be sure you don't chop something you want off), Never use the viewfinder trying to crop perfectly, leave that for post processing. But I find it hard to understand how the image, can change that much. To be sure what your saying is 100% accurate, you may wish to try taking a shot on a tripod (use the camera timer or cable release), to be sure it's not yourself, changing position, as you press the shutter release. There is not much you can do, except for sending it in for repair. You better send the camera in for serviceĭoes the camera vibrate for a couple seconds when it is turned on? Also does it get hot where your right thumb rests while shooting after a few minutes? If so the Steady Shot system may have malfunctioned and the sensor has moved causing you shots to be off center. I'll check my cam and see if it is doing the same. Do not take it apart!!! you can scratch the prism by breathing hard on it. It is possible the prism has moved in your camera. Thanks for any response you can provide or recommendations as it is stating to drive me nuts and thought the good folks here could help me out with it? My question - is this normal with A350, is it a lense issue (using kit lense) or is there a problem with my camera itslef? When I look through the viewfinder on my A350 and set the center focus square right on someones face, snap the picture then review the photo, it seems like the face that I centered on ends up about 1/3 the way down in the image - meaning that the view I am getting in the viewfinder is not the same as i would expect in my final photo - so now I find myself shooting high in the viewfinder to get it centered like I expect. I have a very simple question that i just can seem to get a good answer on in my searches.
